Subject: Announcing the CFMIP-GCSS Case Study

(I apologize if you receive this email more than once)

All,

At the 4th Pan-GCSS inToulouse, a joint case study between GCSS WG1 and CFMIP was initiated to investigate cloud-climate feedback processes in models. I write to announce the release of the case specification, including large-scale forcing data, preliminary results from some SCM and LES models, time table, and other participation information at:

http://atmgcm.msrc.sunysb.edu/cfmip_figs/Case_specification.html

We will present and discuss case results at the upcoming GCSS-CFMIP meeting in June at Vancouver. Please send me an email if you plan to participate (either SCM or LES) so that you can receive future communications. Please contact me or anyone of the other case leaders (Chris Bretherton, Adian Lock, Mark Webb) if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Minghua Zhang
